On the Clock

Akida is a Wellness Strategy Manager on the Virgin Pulse silo here at Wellness IQ. She loves working with people and especially with ones who want to optimize their health and wellbeing! She has always had a passion for health and wellness, but it has recently been more ignited as she became a certified sleep coach!

She has spent the last 4 years participating in various wellness committees in medical education to strategize, enhance and promote health programing for medical students. She is looking forward to working with groups of people who are ready to take the next step in taking a holistic approach in improving their lives!

Off the Clock

Akida enjoys anything that involves a social gathering, crafts and traveling! She loves pending time with family and friends and when the weather permits (or even when it doesn’t) she spends as much time outdoors as possible with her 4-year-old son and husband!

Fun Fact/Unique Skill:

I am a certified sleep and wellbeing coach.

Favorite Recipe:

Oat Energy Bites

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • ½ cup of mini chocolate chips
  • ½ cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup of honey

Mix it all up in a bowl, put the bowl in the fridge for ~30 minutes and then roll into small balls or roll out dough and cut into bars. You can keep them out for up to a week or keep in the refrigerator!
