Shannon recently earned her Master of Public Health from The Ohio State University in May 2025, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Public Health. She is passionate about health and wellness and brings strong experience in community outreach, injury prevention, and strategic public health initiatives. Most recently, she worked as a Community Outreach Coordinator at University Hospitals, where she managed health-focused programs and led collaborative wellness efforts. She is excited to bring her experience and passion to the Wellness Strategy Manager role.

Off the Clock
Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. She regularly practices yoga and loves going for runs or hikes whenever possible. She’s always up for an adventure—whether that means traveling to new places or trying new restaurants around Cleveland.

Fun Fact / Unique Skill:
She played club tennis at Ohio State and taught tennis for about three years.

Favorite Recipe:

With a serious sweet tooth, she enjoys finding healthy desserts to make. Her favorite is Chocolate Peanut Butter Date Bark—the recipe is below.

Ingredients:

  • 10-12 pitted dates
  • 2-3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • Toppings: chopped walnuts, almonds or peanuts (optional but adds additional crunch)

Instructions:

  1. Line baking tray with parchment paper
  2. Slice dates open and press them flat on the parchment paper to form a base, slightly overlapping them
  3. Spread peanut butter evenly over layer of dates
  4. Microwave chocolate chips with coconut oil in 20 second intervals until smooth
  5. Pour melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly
  6. Add toppings if desired
  7. Freeze for 20 minutes, or until firm 8. Chop into pieces and enjoy!
